Bosphorus is proud to announce that jazz great Ali Jackson, Jr. has joined our roster of artists. Ali holds down the much coveted chair as the drummer for the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, the Wynton Marsalis Quintet, and fronts his own band when time permits. He is a mainstay on the New York City jazz scene and has worked with Dee Dee Bridgewater, Aretha Franklin, George Benson, Harry Connick, Jr., KRS-1, Marcus Roberts, Joshua Redman, Seiji Ozawa, Diana Krall and the New York City Ballet. He is very active as an educator, contributing to Lincoln Center's Jazz For Young People series. Kids may recognize him as the voice of "Duck Ellington," a character in the Penguin book series Baby Loves Jazz. Look for Ali to be very active as a Bosphorus clinician.
